Oktopus GmbH specializes in the development, production and sale of equipment and measurement technology for deep-sea applications (6,000 m). This includes mechanical devices such as multicorers, box grabs, gravity corers as well as hydraulic and electrically operated devices such as video-guided hydraulic grabs and ocean floor observation systems. We are world leaders in many areas of our product portfolio.

The Oktopus team also designs customized marine equipment with a focus on: Carrier and towing systems, camera and light components as well as data transmission systems (telemetry: fiber optic and power transmission) and deep sea batteries.

Since the company was founded in 1998, the Oktopus GmbH team has been contributing expertise from the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and mechatronics to the company's products and services. Certification by the classification and certification society Det Norske Veritas (DNV) is available on request. This means that Oktopus products are also ideal for use on ships with strict safety requirements; if necessary, Oktopus personnel can be requested to support the devices.
